We're thrilled to welcome back the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design for the 2016 Wedding Crasher's Tour, presented by Richmond Weddings!
Built in 1919, this marvelous Tudor Revival building sits on Richmond’s historic Monument Avenue. Guests can expect to see stunning architectural treatments that recall an era of sophistication and elegance when the Branch Family’s celebrations for high-society Richmond were famous. The tradition of entertainment and enjoyment continues with The Branch now boasting its place as a premier museum of architecture and design. Amidst a striking architectural backdrop and stylish galleries dedicated to cutting-edge exhibitions, The Branch Museum is the perfect space to hold your wedding.
Inside The Branch you’ll find sunny, expansive interiors with high ceilings and rich details. This is truly a venue unlike any other in Richmond. The extraordinary museum galleries include: The Long Gallery with large windows overlooking Monument Avenue, opulent chandeliers, and an intricate plaster ceiling. The Library has built-in shelves, an elaborately carved fireplace, and an exquisite barrel vault plaster ceiling. The Great Hall boasts its dazzling expanse of diamond pattern gothic inspired windows overlooking the back terrace and garden, a masterfully carved medieval-style wooden screen, and a monumental fireplace. The Social Gallery incorporates original marble floor, limestone fireplace and massive timber-frame ceiling. Outside, The Branch boasts a grand picturesque garden in the back and a more formal slate forecourt in the front.
