Welcome to the Wedding Crasher's Tour 2016 Blue Bee Cider! Blue Bee Cider was recently featured at not only the host venue John Marshal Ballrooms but also at the Quirk Hotel where guests could sip on refreshing local ciders. Blue Bee Cider also recently enjoyed a nod from National Geographic in it's collection of "Where to Travel for Food in 2016" with Blue Bee making the list for What to Drink! In their own words,
"Virginia’s first urban cidery, Blue Bee Cider is currently located in the heart of downtown Richmond’s Old Manchester district at the fall line of the James River. By the end of the summer in 2016, Blue Bee Cider will relocate to Summit Stables, an historic stone barn complex in Scott’s Addition.
We aim to create balanced ciders true to their Virginia roots made from rare and heirloom apples on a seasonal basis. The name for Blue Bee Cider is derived from a common name for one of Virginia’s native bees, osmia lignaria, or the blue orchard bee. These hardworking bees are solitary and wild, emerging early in the cool spring just in time to pollinate apple blossoms."
